Introduction

Please respect the wishes of the people who compiled these fantastic lists. They put a lot of effort into them, and many do not want their work stolen or otherwise used unfairly. If you would like to use their data, please ask permission.[a]

Format

Website: Webpage (Author) – Type of Aircraft, Nationality, Civilian/Military, Fixed-Wing/Helicopter, Time Period, Type of List (Survivors, Production, Status, etc.), Method of Sort (Registration, S/N, etc.) – Special Note about Source

Bolded entries are the best or most all-encompassing sources. All entries are in English unless otherwise indicated.

Notes

  • Note that many of the above Vietnam helicopter entries all come from the same list and author. Potentially create a special section for them.
    • The hyperlinks above go to the specific webpage on the website that either lists the airframes or lists the lists of airframes – unless the entire website is dedicated to these type of lists or it is otherwise indicated. In other words, all the airframe profiles have to be accessible from a single point on the website.
      • The persons named inside parenthesis are the creators of either the respective lists or the websites. Information for entries labeled “[WHOIS]” was found through WHOIS.net. Those marked “Various” are composed by authors too numerous to count.
        • When a standard website name cannot be determined, the URL is used. (?) Note that this does not mean that all website names ending in TLDs have undetermined names.
          • A very few of these lists have a paywall. This is usually because they were compiled by for profit companies that act as analysts. However, there is at least one example of this compiled by a single individual.
            • The vast majority of these lists are written in English, but there are a few in other languages. If this is the case, it will be noted.
              • The titles used have in some cases been slightly edited to create a consistent format for all entries. For example, websites that have their titles listed in all capitals have been changed to title case (i.e. capitalization of first letter in all major words only).
