There have been some objections to the inclusion of certain individuals on this list on the basis that they have a negative reputation. For this reason, this page very intentionally does not use the term "important", but instead "notable" as based on the [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Notability Wikipedia policy]. The intent of this page is neither to pass judgement nor to establish who is deserving of "veneration" and who is not. It is not a "Hall of Fame", but a list of those who have made a significant impact – good or bad – on the history of aviation.
